And now for the more in depth explanation; in 10 days since Ryan's last BMA he has gone from 0.13% leukaemia (blasts) to 100% blasts, they weren't able to get good samples as the blasts become sticky within the bone marrow and do not allow for lymphacytes and nutrophils to produce blood products and shut it down in a cense. Doctors knew in the beginning due to his lumpy luekemia it would be very hard to treat and has only been seen a handful of times in our consultants career. But we gave it a go. Many people are asking is there really no other options and the answer is NO. Even if they did give chemo it would never get it undercontrol and kill him in a worse way. The chemo they gave Ryan with his transplant was so strong they are surprised it didn't kill him already. His adinovirus will no longer be treated and without counts will multiply at an alarming rate. He is turning yellow due to the damage to his liver and his is unable to drink milk or eat as he can't digest anything. He is in a lot of pain from the disease but we are managing it with morphine, ketamine, paracetamol, ibuprofen and another one for nerve pain. He is waking every 2 hours for 20-40 mins for love and some smiles. He is having raging temperatures which is helped by the above. A no resus order has been put in place and we intend on going to a hospice in Bournemouth to enjoy his last days as a family. We have been told it will be days/ weeks. We are devastated but I can no longer watch my baby suffer so in a seance I feel relieved.
